What is the Emerald Laser?
The Emerald Laser is a safe, non-invasive treatment that helps slim your body measurements by reducing stubborn fat. Instead of cutting, freezing or heating, it uses gentle low-level green laser light to empty fat cells, so you get results without surgery and without downtime. How it works
Ten small green laser diodes rest close to your skin and shine low-level light through to the fat layer underneath. This light makes a tiny, temporary opening in the wall of each fat cell. The fat inside turns to liquid and gently leaks out. Your body then clears it away naturally through your lymphatic system and liver, the same way it deals with fat every day. The fat cell simply closes up again, smaller and emptier than before.
The science behind it
The Emerald Laser uses 532-nanometre green laser light, a type of low-level laser therapy (also called cold laser). It is non-thermal, which means it does not heat or harm your skin or the tissue around it. Its effect has been studied in double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trials, the highest standard of medical research, which showed real reductions in body measurements with no reported side effects. Because it empties fat cells rather than destroying them, it avoids problems that can come with freezing or heat-based treatments, such as scar tissue, nerve damage, or fat coming back unevenly.
